 TAIPA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ASSESSMENT INVOICES

TAIPA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ASSESSMENT INVOICES will be sent out on December 31, 2024 to cover the cost of administration.

Payment is due February 1, 2025. Late payments are subject to a penalty fee as outlined on the statement.  Please issue your check payable to TAIPA and mail to the address shown on the enclosed statement. 

If your company requires a contact/address change, please complete the “Company Address Change Form” located at http://www.taipa.org/forms/apps/compaddresschange.pdf and send it to TAIPA. We will only accept contact/address changes on this form.

TAIPA Rate Changes Effective October 1, 2024

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has approved TAIPA rate changes for private passenger and commercial vehicles in Commissioner’s Order No. B-0006 24, dated July 3, 2024. These changes are effective October 1, 2024.

The updated TAIPA Rules and Rating Manual will be available on our website October 1, 2024.

Purpose of the Association

The Association was created by statute and is subject to regulatory supervision of the Department of Insurance. The purpose of the Association is to make automobile bodily injury and property damage liability insurance required by the Texas Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Act available to eligible applicants, subject to the rules of the Association.

The Association has established procedures for the equitable distribution of applications for insurance to be assigned to insurance companies. All insurance companies authorized to write motor vehicle liability policies in the State of Texas must be members of the Association and participate in its operation.

The Association is governed by Chapter 2151, Texas Insurance Code, and its Plan of Operation, which has been approved by the Commissioner of Insurance.
